If you’ve ever looked at a Facebook list, or Twitter feed, you know that there are a lot of different reasons to join a network marketing company. We can talk about the business side of it (how to get a company off the ground) or we can talk about the personal side of it (what makes a good networker).
The personal side is the most important. In this case, a network marketing company has to build a personal brand. Whether you choose to be a trainer, a personal trainer, a coach, a mentor, a mentor, or a salesperson, you will have to build a following of people who respect you, who like you, and who are willing to pay for the product you offer.
This is another area I tend to get in trouble for because people seem to think that if you have a niche, you can do just about anything. The problem is you can’t do it all. You have to find a way to fit into the niche you have, and you have to get there before anyone else does. A niche is a big enough market that you can get to a whole lot of people and not have to do the same work that everyone else does.
In other words, you can be successful in marketing. If you’re good at marketing you’ll be able to persuade people to buy from you, but if you’re bad at it, you won’t get very far. If you’re good at marketing you can get people to say, “I will buy from you, and then we can talk about other things.
