I was invited to attend one of these conferences, Las Vegas Marketing and Advertising Conference, I can’t say I’m a fan of them as they are expensive, but a lot of good information is presented at them.
As someone who does business in Las Vegas, I will say that I personally liked the presentations from a marketing perspective. Although I don’t usually like to be told what to do by marketing people, these guys do provide information they don’t normally get. For example, it’s implied that marketing is the only way to get people to take out Visionaries if you’re a lone wolf that doesn’t care about them.
marketing is a weird way to communicate, but I guess thats what we expect from marketing companies. Not that marketing is the only way, but marketing is definitely the way they communicate and they do it pretty well.
Also, the fact that one of them is named “Gordy” (like the guy who plays the main character in a lot of the Saw movies) and the other is named “Jimmi” is pretty funny. There are so many marketing companies in Las Vegas that I’m not sure what they’re called.
I dont know. I think it would be pretty hard to come up with a common name/brand/name for these marketing companies. Theyre all different, and most of them have their own little quirks and ways of communicating. A lot of them have a logo that’s kinda like a bunch of little black-and-white dots. It’s kind of cute and all, but it’s a little hard to figure out what it is.
