It’s the same with marketing and sales but the difference is that sales is more about creating a sales team that can close deals. Marketing is more about building a marketing team that can generate buzz for your company. It all comes down to getting the right people in the right positions around you. It’s easy to fall into the trap of focusing on the “right person” or “right place” or “right time” at the expense of the “right product/service” or “right price.
