I don’t know about you, but I am always excited to learn more about what is going on in the world, how things are changing, and what will be changing in the next 10 years. This is where I get my best ideas, and often the best ideas come from the people who work in the marketing department of a company.
I’m pretty sure the people in marketing are the ones who think up the ideas that we see in the internet or in print. Sure, a lot of them are more interested in trends, but its the people at the top of these department that are really behind the scenes and usually have the best insight into what is coming in the next 10 years.
I agree 100% with your comment. This is also a place that I work and I can say that I have had some really great ideas come from there as well. However, I do not think that there is a single person in marketing that is aware of what is coming. I think that it is the department head who is most aware of the future.

It is the person at the top of the department that has the most knowledge and when you have a department that is always going to be changing, it makes it very difficult to adapt your strategy for the future without having a plan for the past.

We have a lot in our department that have a lot of power over the department. For example, we have the marketing manager and we have the director of finance. They are the people that have the most power over our department.

In a highly competitive, ever-changing business environment, you want your managers to be as good at what they do as possible. That requires excellent communication skills and the ability to think quickly. I was a sales manager in the past, and it was my job to be a good manager.
