The first question I asked my colleague about marketing was, “What does marketing have to do with me?” He had to laugh because I meant marketing itself. I had never been so defensive in my entire life. He chuckled and said, “I have been marketing for 20 years. I have no idea who you are.” I had to laugh at the irony of it all.
I think most of us know what marketing does, but most of us don’t even think about it. Marketing, like advertising and PR, is about creating awareness for your brand/product/service. But it’s far more than that. It’s about making your product or service more marketable, and it’s really about how you manage your audience, what they think of your product, and what they want from you.
It is pretty easy to forget how important marketing is to your business. Most business owners are not even aware of their marketing, let alone realize what it looks like. But the truth is that most people are clueless about marketing. They don’t know what a campaign is, they do not know what is supposed to look like, they do not know how to prepare their products for the market.
The truth is that marketing is how we get new clients from the people who do business with us. Thats what your website is all about, and most of the time its a big part of your marketing success. If you have a website, its a big deal, and its probably the number one thing that differentiates you from the competition.
I can’t say I have a lot of insight into what it takes to build good websites, but I am confident that you can do it. If you have done everything you can to build a great website, why not? It only takes a few simple tweaks to make your website work well for you.

Thats why I spend a lot of time learning about SEO (Search Engine Optimization), Coding, HTML, and Design.
